Ruth Elizabeth Delp

On Saturday, June 14, 1919, in an effort to save the life of little Ruth Elizabeth Delp, God saw fit to call her home to himself. Altho she spent the brief span of six years, nine months, and ten days upon earth, her short stay shed sunshine in the home, and she made the lives of those about her better for her life.

Since the age of one and one-half years she has been a great sufferer and continually under the care of the doctor. So patiently has she borne her suffering that it has been a pleasure to care for her. Two days before she was called home she was heard singing, "He'll never forget to keep me." Such a manifestation of trust is occasion for rejoicing for her sake, in that her sufferings are over, and that she is now at rest with the kind Heavenly Father. She leaves to mourn her departure a father, and a mother, a sister, Alice, a brother, Ralph, and a grandmother and two grandfathers.

Appropriate memorial services were held Monday afternoon of this week in the Ivester Church of the Brethren. The pastor, D. H. Keller, was assisted by Elder Jno. H. Cakerice. Burial in the Ivester cemetery.
