Jacob Albright Dead

Jacob Albright was born near Waynesborough, Penn., Dec. 9th 1818. His parents both dying in his infancy, was raised by a guardian until the age of twelve years. He then made his home with Joe Strickler up to the time of his marriage.

At seventeen he was taken into the German Reform church.

In 1839 he married Susan Strickler and to them were born five sons and one daughter. An aged wife and three sons are still living.

In 1841 they went by steamboat down the Ohio and up the Mississippi rivers, making their home in Mt. Carroll, Ill.

In 1890 they moved to Grundy county and there residing up to the time of his death Jan. 29, 1908.

The funeral of Jacob Albright will be held at the Presbyterian church, Saturday, Feb. 1st, 1908, at 1 o'clock, conducted by A. P. Blough of Waterloo. Burial at the Ivester cemetery.
