Virginia C. Zink, 95, of Beaman, IA passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Grundy Memorial Hospital's Long Term Care Center, in Grundy Center, IA. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Beaman United Methodist Church, in Beaman. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2017, at the Conrad Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes, in Conrad, IA. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery, in Beaman.
Virginia was born July 17, 1921 to Thomas and Maude (Lepley) Lynch, in Beaman. She graduated from Beaman High School. Virginia was united in marriage to John Zink on December 13, 1941, in Beaman, She had been a farm wife and was later employed with Fidelity Bank, Brenton Bank and Wells Fargo Bank, in the progression of name changes in Marshalltown as a teller. Virginia was a member of Beaman United Methodist Church. She was also a member of United Methodist Women and Vienna Women’s Club. Virginia enjoyed crocheting and baking, listening to music, fishing and always being with her family.
Virginia will be missed by two daughters; Nancy (John) Standafer of Cedar Falls, IA, Mary (Don) Trebil of Blair, NE, three grandchildren; Nathan (Jessica) Hogancamp, Amanda (Dan) Shine, Brad (Jennifer) Trebil, four step-grandchildren; Molly (Mike) Hall, Kathleen Blizzard, Michael (Megan) Standafer, Teresa Standafer, three great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, two brothers; Robert Lynch, Kent (Judy) Lynch, a sister-in-law, Betty Lynch, and a brother-in-law Harold Skramovsky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters; Mary Kathryn Stephenson, Donna Holl, Lois Skramovsky, and a brother, Richard Lynch.
