John D. Meyers of Holland Ends His Life

Takes Strychnine In Despondent Fit

Was In Good Circumstances But Imagined He Was Poor

John D. Meyer, a citizen of Holland, ended his life Wednesday afternoon by taking strychnine.

Mr. Meyer was about 50 years of age and had retired from the farm two years ago moving to Holland and occupying what was formerly the Conradi property.

For sometime it is said he has felt that he was in poor circumstances although he was the owner of over a hundred acres of Grundy county land and had some other property besides.

As we go to press an inquest is being held.
