Flora Buskohl, 64, Victim of Cancer; Funeral Monday
Mrs. Flora Buskohl passed away in the Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo on Nov. 13, 1959. She reached the age of 64 years, 8 months and 4 days.
Mrs. Buskohl entered the Grundy Memorial hospital nine weeks ago where she was a patient for one week. She was then taken to the Allen Memorial hospital where she was a patient for eight weeks. Her death was due to multiple mycloma.
Mrs. Buskohl was born of Mr. and Mrs. Dick DeNeui in Hardin County, Iowa, on March 9, 1895. She grew up to womanhood on a farm in Hardin and Grundy counties, where she also attended school.
On February 12, 1925, she was united in marriage to Wessel Buskohl of Holland. They lived on a farm in Colfax township until April 1944 when her husband passed away. She then moved to the town of Wellsburg where she lived until the time of her death.
Mrs. Buskohl made confession of her faith in Jesus Christ on Oct. 13, 1959, and after baptism was received into the membership of the Wellsburg Reformed Church. She also received the Lord's Supper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Rena, Mrs. Ford Eberline, one brother, Henry DeNeui, recently killed in a farm accident.
She leaves to mourn her death four brothers, Sander, Dickie and Noble of Wellsburg and Lee of Holland; two sisters, Hannah, Mrs. Henry Anderson, and Lucille, Mrs. Arend Christians, both of Wellsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Buskohl on November 16 at 1 p.m. in the home and at 1:30 p.m. in the Wellsburg Reformed Church with the Rev. George C. Poppen officiating. Burial was in the Colfax Center Presbyterian cemetery.
