Services Friday For Mrs. Tillie Iblings, Holland
Services will be held Friday for Mrs. Earl Iblings, 48, of Holland, who died at 6 a.m. Tuesday in the Grundy County Memorial Hospital following a stroke.
Mrs. Iblings had been suffering from an attack of severe nosebleeds a few days before her death and had been under the care of a doctor.
At 1 a.m. Tuesday she had a stroke and was rushed to the hospital by her son-in-law, Harold Henricks, and Chris Sonnenberg of Holland, and died there five hours later.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Engelkes Funeral Home in Grundy Center, and later at the Holland Christian Reformed church. Burial will be in the Holland cemetery.
Mrs. Iblings died on her birthday. Tillie Adolfs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Menno Adolfs, was born Aug. 17, 1906, in Parkersburg and grew up there.
She married Earl Iblings on December 6, 1934, and the couple moved to Holland where they resided ever since. He was employed at the Holland Hatchery. Mr. Iblings died at the age of 57 of a heart attack in a Wellsburg store on December 13, 1951.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mattie Iblings Hendricks; one grandson, Roger; three brothers, Herman Adolfs of Parkersburg, Ben of New Hartford, and Henry of Shell Rock; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Allspach, Mrs. John Allspach and Mrs. Meint Johnson, all of Parkersburg.
Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Iblings made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Henricks, and was living with the couple at the time she was stricken.
