Ransom Bailey Pattee was born July 17, 1867, at Faulkner, Franklin county, Iowa, and died in Holland at the home of his uncle, Mr. Orwell Bailey, Sunday morning, August 21, at 31 years, 1 month and 4 days. Mr. Pattee was a single man and had only recently come from Arkansas. Rev. W. H. Jordan conducted a brief service at the house Tuesday at 2 o'clock which was largely attended. The interment took place in the Holland cemetery. The occasion is doubly sad to the elderly parents and other relatives as another son lay sick near Little Rock, Arkansas, unable to come to the funeral.
