Baby Dies Suddenly

The ten week's old baby of Mr. and Mrs. John Hodjer died Sunday and were buried Tuesday. Funeral services were held at the Holland church. They were conducted by Rev. Heinrichs of Shiloh township.

The little one died very suddenly.

Mr. and Mrs. Hodjer were on their way to Bucks Grove to spend the day. The baby appeared to be in its usual health when they started. The mother looked at it several times on the way and it appeared to be all right. When they were near the Schafer church the mother looked at the baby again and was horrified to find it dead. It had been nursing only a few moments before.

A coroner's inquest was held. The county coroner Dr. Corsant from Dike came Sunday evening and empanneled a jury consisting of H. Dirks, E. E. Stoehr and Mr. Wickert. Their verdict was the child died from auto infection or a poisoning of the system.

The bereaved family have the sympathy of all who knew them.
