Death of Mrs. Fred Goetting
Mrs. Fred Goetting died at her home three miles west of Holland at 9:30 Monday evening. She had been sick since early in the fall with heart trouble and other ailment and her death was not unexpected. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Muegge are being held at the house at twelve o'clock today and later at the church at Holland. Interment will be made in the Holland cemetery.
The death of Mrs. Goetting removes from the community a woman who was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her. She had resided here the better part of her life and all had learned to know her and to love and respect her for her many worthy qualities. She was a helpful neighbor, a devoted Christian and a lovable wife and mother.
Mrs. Goetting was born in Meklenburg, Germany sixty-five years ago. She came to this country when she was quite young and the family located in Ill. Over thirty years ago she came with her husband to this county and they have made their home in Colfax township ever since. Mrs. Goetting was the mother of nine children. Eight of these with the husband survive her. The children are, Mrs. Janssen of Sibley, George, Will, Mrs. Hiram Lutterman, Helmoet, Mrs. Jurgen Lutterman, Mrs. George Hook and Gred Goetting.
