The remains of the late Mrs. T. Klassen were buried beside her husband in the cemetery at the church two miles west of Fern Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Klassen and her husband came to this country in an early day from Germany and settled in Illinois and later moved on to the old home farm which place was the home for a good many years. About 25 years ago her husband, Jacob Klassen Sr., died. She continued to make her home with her son Jacob Jr. About seven years ago they built up a new home on part of the old farm and five years ago her only son died and then she lived with her grandchildren till the angel of death called, come up higher and deserve the rest she will now get. The funeral was held Saturday from the German Reform church at Stout, conducted by Rev. Fred Reeverts, her pastor and Rev. Sinning of Aplington. She leaves 4 grandchildren to mourn her loss.
