Obituary
Claus Buss

Claus Buss was born the son of Dick and Lena Buss on March 22, 1904, in Grundy County, Iowa.

He was engaged in farming near Parkersburg for many years and prior to his illness was engaged in farming near Bristow.

In March, 1970, he submitted to surgery at the Mercy Hospital at Waverly and thereafter was released and was in the home of his sister, Mrs. Fred Neeman, for 3 months until his condition became worse and he was returned to the hospital at Waverly where he passed away on August 20, 1970.

He leaves to mourn his departure four sisters, Mrs. Fred Neeman and Mrs. Fred Rewerts of Parkersburg, Mrs. Ed Rewerts of New Hartford and Mrs. Mann Mennen of Bristow; also two brothers, Joe of Parkersburg and Dick of Hampton. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Menno VanHauen and Mrs. Will Harms, and one brother, John.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 22nd at 1:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Reformed Church south of Parkersburg in charge of Rev. Peter Koonen and Rev. Gerald Osland.

Interment was in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were nephews, namely Edward Mennen, Edward Rewerts, Cecil Rewerts, Ernie Rewerts, Raymond VanHauen and Clarence Rewerts.
