Harm D. Walters

Harm D. Walters passed away at his home in Grundy last Wednesday October 30, 1918. He was born in Germany in 1837, where in the year of 1871 he was united in marriage to Gertje Goldhorn. This union was blessed with five sons and three daughters one of the sons died in infancy. They came to America in the year 1883 when they settled in Grundy county where they have always lived. Mr. and Mrs. Walters lived on the Walters farm only two years when Mrs. Walters was called away that was in 1902. So Mr. Walters lived on the same place 18 years.

The children who are left to mourn the death of their father are Dick and Nan, who recently resided at Minnesota, Eilert and Mrs. O. Hook and Dora of Grundy and Harm of Buffalo Center and Mrs. J. Lutchenburg of Grundy.

The funeral was held at the home in Pleasant Valley township Saturday afternoon.

The children take this means to thank the friends for their kind help during the death of their father.
