Mrs. Klosterboer Passes Away At Her Home In Fern, January 25

Mrs. Anna Klosterboer, nee Bergman, was born at Dielerheide, Germany, Feb. 19th, 1865, and passed away at her home in Fern, Grundy county, Iowa, Jan. 25th, 1923, aged 57 years, 11 months and 26 days.

She was married April 26th, 1885, to Onno Klosterboer in Germany. To them were born five children, three sons and two daughters. The youngest child died in infancy.

The family came to America in 1903 and located on a farm near Parkersburg. Two years later the husband and father passed away, leaving the wife and children to keep the farm going, which they did for several years. At last on account of poor health she left the farm and moved to Fern, which has since been her home.

Three sons and one daughter, the latter Mrs. Busman, of Aplington, three half-sisters, a step-mother, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Onno Klosterboer, and four brothers are left to mourn the death of a kind and loving mother and sister.

Funeral services were held at the Siemsen church, west of Fern Monday of this week, Rev. Siemsen officiating. Interment was in the Siemsen cemetery.
