Funeral Service Saturday For Charles Fritzel

Funeral services for Charles Fritzel were held at the Evangelical church in Pleasant Valley township last Saturday afternoon. A service was held at the home in Klemme, Iowa, at 11:30 and at 2 o'clock in the church. The services were conducted by Rev. H. M. Raecker and Rev. H. E. Harvey. Burial was in the Evangelical Pleasant Valley cemetery.

Mr. Fritzel, who in late years had served as meat cutter in a market at Klemme, was stricken while at work an died later in the day. He was 59 years, 8 months and 24 days old at the time of his death. He was born on a farm in Pleasant Valley township and spent the early years of his life there.

Relatives from a distance who were here for the funeral service were Gus Benz, Melvin Benz, Vernon Benz and J. Heck, all from Brookings, S.D.

Obituary
Charles Delbert Fritzel, the youngest son and child of August and Caroline Fritzel, was born on June 23, 1886, in German twp., Grundy co., Iowa. At the age of 7 years he moved with his parents to Grundy Center. It is here that he received his education and prepared for life's work.

He was united in holy wedlock to Rose Belle Bausman on Feb. 10, 1914, at Cedar Rapids by the Rev. C. F. Hillman, pastor of the Evangelical church. They established their home on a farm southeast of Klemme, Iowa, where they continued to farm for 23 years. In the spring of 1937 they moved to the town of Klemme.

Since that time he had been employed in the C. A. Larsen locker plant.

He leaves to mourn his beloved companion and wife; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Eberlein, George, Ia., and Mrs. Lenora Peippert, Hartley, Iowa, besides many other relatives and a host of friends. He was a kind and loving husband and friend.
