James Alva, little and only child of Samuel and Alice Good, was born in Felix township on September 29, 1897, and died September 22, 1899. The little one was considered well until a few days before his death, but had been thought quite well recently. The day of his death Mrs. Good was visiting her mother, Mrs. James Lister, of Conrad. It was while here, the little one sitting on the floor, as believed in perfect health, that it was called to the one who said, "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not for such is the kingdom of heaven." The obsequies were held from the M.E. church at Conrad, conducted by their pastor, Rev. J. H. Oliver of Whitten, assisted by Rev. Cleveland, Saturday, Sept. 23, and the interment took place at the Benson cemetery. This young couple and bereaved relatives have the sympathy of the entire country.
