Died--Ubbo Tholen, at the age of 36, at his home four miles northeast of Wellsburg, Thursday, Jan. 20, 1898, at 11 o'clock, of diabetes. The deceased leaves a wife and three small children to mourn his death. He had the respect of the entire community. The funeral occurred from the Dekker church Monday at 11 o'clock. Sixty teams followed the remains to the last resting place in the Dekker burying grounds. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.
