She was united in marriage to Ubbe Reiter the 12th day of August 1875. Soon after their marriage they came to this country and settled in Beaver township. She joined the Baptist church at Buck Grove and was baptised in July 1878 by Rev. DeNeui.

She was a good wife and a faithful christian until her death. She leaves to mourn her unexpected departure a husband, five sons, Enne, Andrew and Ubbe of this township, Martin of Lyon county and Tonjes at home; two daughters, Mrs. Dave Anderson and the other one at home whose name we did not learn; besides these she leaves two sisters, Mrs. M.
