P. J. DeBeer, well-known retired Stout merchant, died at his home in Stout Tuesday morning after a short illness, at the age of 86 years. Mr. DeBeer was born in 1865 in Germany and came to this country with his parents when he was a small child. In 1890 he married Fannie Johnson of Freeport, Ill., and the couple farmed in Grundy county for ten years.
