Mrs. Harken, Ackley, Died First Of Week

Mrs. Corneal Harken, aged 60, died Tuesday at her home in Ackley after a lingering illness of carcinoma. She was born Edna Oelman on Jan. 21, 1892, near Parkersburg. On Dec. 1, 1915 she was married to Corneal Harken and the couple farmed south of Austinville until Feb. 1946 when they moved to their present home in Ackley.

Those surviving are the husband and two sons, Richard and Delbert of Ackley; two grandchildren; two brothers and one sister who are John and Henry Oelman and Mrs. John E. Meester all of Parkersburg. One sister preceded Mrs. Harken in death.

Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at 1:00 p.m. at the home and later at the Westfriesland Presbyterian church east of Ackley. Burial was in the church cemetery.
