Mrs. Fred Miller

Mrs. Fred Miller died at St. Luke's hospital at Cedar Rapids on Sunday afternoon after a brief illness from appendicitis. She was taken ill about ten days ago and on the advice of her physician went to Cedar Rapids to undergo an operation. The operation was performed last Thursday and apparently she was getting better when suddenly on Sunday after a severe spell of coughing she passed away. The remains were brought to Wellsburg Monday morning and the funeral was held Wednesday afternoon attended by a large concourse of friends and relatives. Interment followed in the cemetery near the church.

Julia Gereke was born at Burlington, Iowa, October 10, 1884. She came to Wellsburg ten years ago with her parents and resided here ever since. She leaves a husband and two children, two brothers and three sisters. Mrs. O. B. Eells of this place being one of her sisters.
