Mrs. Henry Gerdes died at her home in Steamboat Rock at three o'clock yesterday morning of heart trouble. She had been ill only a few days and her case was scarcely considered critical until shortly before her death. The Gerdes family moved to Steamboat from Grundy county about five years ago. Mrs. Gerdes, who was a little over fifty years of age is survived by her husband and five children, four girls and a boy. Three of the daughters are married.
