Rachel Marie Knock, age 34, of St. Paul, Minnesota, was born the daughter of Dennis Dale and Ruth Lois (DeVries) Knock on January 18, 1982. Rachel was baptized on April 18, 1982, and confirmed on October 26, 1997, both at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Parkersburg. Rachel graduated from Dike-New Hartford High School in 2001. After graduation, she attended Wartburg College and received a BA in Business in 2005. She also attended Kirkwood Community College and received a degree to be a paralegal.

Rachel moved to St. Paul, Minnesota and was employed at Wells Fargo and later at Tena Company in the mortgage department.

Rachel was very active with the Jaycee’s in Minneapolis and St. Paul and had won several awards through them. She was very musically talented and enjoyed singing. Rachel was also an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. When she was in the third grade, Rachel was the poster child for Muscular Dystrophy. Rachel did not have much free time, but in those times she enjoyed fishing and reading mystery novels. Although Rachel had many friends, her mother and grandmother always held a very special place in her heart.

Rachel died Sunday, March 6, 2016, in Burnsville, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Knock; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Louise DeVries and paternal grandparents, Wallace and Freeda Knock.

Rachel is survived by her father, Dennis Knock of Parkersburg and one brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Penny Knock and their two children, Brockton and Cash of Blue Grass, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with burial at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, both in rural, Wellsburg, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, at the Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Parkersburg and one hour before services at the church.
