Wellsburg Woman Is Called

Mrs. Thomas Neessen Dies Following Operation on Tuesday

Mrs. Thomas Neessen, seven miles northeast of Wellsburg, died at 2 o'clock Saturday morning at the Deaconess hospital of acute acidosis, due to an operation for gall stones performed Tuesday morning at the hospital.

Mrs. Neessen was born Charlotte Schrage in Grundy county Aug. 17, 1897. She was married to Mr. Neessen Aug. 17, 1916, near Wellsburg. Besides her husband she leaves a daughter, aged 5 months, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schrage, of Wellsburg, three brothers and four sisters. They are Mable, Ernest, Henry, Lenora, Fayette, Normandy and Robert, all living at home.

The body was taken Tuesday to Wellsburg where funeral services were held at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the residence. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery at Wellsburg.--Marshalltown Times-Republican
