E. H. Nederhoff Died Sunday after 7 Months' Illness

Ebbo H. Nederhoff, a lifetime resident of Shiloh township, died at his home west of Wellsburg, at 12 o'clock noon, Sunday, February 25th, at the age of 53 years, 8 months and 28 days. He was born May 27, 1880, on the same farm where he passed away. He was a son of Hinderk Nederhoff and wife nee Tetje Ebbenga.

Mr. Nederhoff was ill for about seven months previous to his death. The cause of death was chronic interstitial nephritis.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 28, at 1 o'clock at the house and at the Bode church west of Wellsburg, in charge of the pastor, Rev. H. C. Bode, who took as his texts Isaiah 55, 6, and Rom. 6, 23.

The quartet sang several selections at the church and at the grave.

The pall bearers were nephews of the deceased, Albert C. Nederhoff, Henry Nederhoff, Neil, Henry and Herman Okones and Harold Okones.

Mr. Nederhoff was married March 6, 1902, to Lena Riekena. To this union were born seven children, four of whom preceded him in death, and he is survived by his wife, and three sons, Henry, Ben E. and Theodore. Besides these he leaves two grandchildren, and one brother, C. H. Nederhoff, and two sisters, Mrs. John Okones and Mrs. Harm Okones.

Mr. Nederhoff was a man of quiet disposition, and was esteemed and respected by his neighbors and friends.

The funeral arrangements were in charge of John Doyen of Wellsburg.

Ebbo Nederhoff Died Sunday From Bright's Disease

Ebbo Nederhoff died at his home two miles west of Wellsburg at 12:30 Sunday afternoon following an illness of about eight months from Bright's disease. Nr. Nederhoff's health began noticeably to fail last summer where he consulted a physician for the first time. He was confined to his bed since Christmas.

Funeral services were held at the home at 1 o'clock Wednesday and later at the Bode church three miles west of town with the local pastor officiating. There was a very large attendance at the service.

Mr. Nederhoff was 54 years old. He was born in Grundy county and lived on the same farm all of his life. He was a successful farmer and a good neighbor. His death coming so early in life is a distinct loss to the community.

Surviving relatives are the widow and three sons, Henry, Ben and Theodore. There is one brother, C. H. Nederhoff, and two sisters, Mrs. Harm and Mrs. John O'Kones.

Burial was made in the family lot in the cemetery adjoining the Bode church.
