Mrs. L. Bunger Funeral Held Wednesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Lambert A. Bunger were held on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Doyen Funeral Home and at 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church. Rev. Kasjen Tebben of Cedar Falls was officiating clergyman. Richard Schafer and Lary Riebkes sang two duet numbers. Miss Elizabeth Eekhoff was organist. Flower attendants were Mrs. Leland Luwe and Mrs. Vaneda Huisman. Pall bearers were Marvin Nederhoff, Merlen Berghuis, Marlin Behrends, Vernon Buse, Melvin Haupt and Wallace Haupt. Interment was made in the First Christian Reformed Church cemetery.

Mrs. Bunger passed away at the Eldora Community Hospital shortly after 3 o'clock Sunday morning, Feb. 4 following a lingering illness. She had entered the hospital on Jan. 30th for treatment. She reached the age of 62 years, 10 months and 14 days.

She was born Anna Haupt on a farm in Shiloh township, southwest of Wellsburg, on March 20, 1910, the daughter of Obo and Swantje (Nederhoff) Haupt. She attended the rural schools in the area. On Sept. 20, 1932 she was united in marriage to Lambert A. Bunger at the home of her parents by the Rev. H. C. Bode. Following their marriage they moved to the Bunger family home place farm. They retired and moved to Wellsburg in February of 1971.

Mrs. Bunger was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Wellsburg, having made confession of her faith in Jesus Christ on May 27, 1928, and was a member of the Ladies' Guild of the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those who survive her are: her husband, Lambert A. Bunger; one son, Kenneth Bunger of Wellsburg; 1 daughter, Miss Audrey Bunger of Des Moines; three grandchildren; one sister and three brothers: August, Henry and Grace of Wellsburg; Oldig Haupt of Eldora and many other relatives and friends.
