Herbert Claassen Dead

Herbert Claassen died early Monday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Gottsch in this city, Mrs. Gottsch being an aunt of his. He came here about a week ago from Colorado. The cause of his death was diabetes. Herbert was twenty-nine years old and spent most of his life hereabouts. Previous to going to Colorado two years ago he was a mail carrier from the Grundy office and also worked in the Orren Miller store as meat cutter.

He leaves two sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Dan Lovell, of Waterloo; Frank Claassen, of Waterloo; Peter Claassen of Colorado; Dan Claassen, who is in the army; and another sister in Colorado.

Funeral services were held today and burial took place in the Grundy Center cemetery.
