Leslie Franklin Lillibridge

Grundy Center Young Man Passes Away Wednesday Morning

Leslie Franklin Lillibridge was born in Whittimore, Kossuth county, Iowa, March 16th, 1896, and died at his home in this city at 5 o'clock Wednesday morning, Nov. 2, 1921. He was 25 years, 7 months and 6 days of age at the time of his death. He was the youngest son of Mrs. Myra Lillibridge of this city who survives him and was with him in his last sickness.

This city has been his home from his earliest childhood when he came here with his parents and where he was educated in the public schools.

Since coming to manhood he had been employed away from here more or less but had always returned here at intervals and considered this city his home. His last illness, that of Bright's disease, attacked him when he was out in Montana and he returned home about two weeks ago, and steadily declined until his death, which relieved him of his sufferings just as the morning dawn was ushering in a new day. He was conscious almost up to the last and took comfort in repeating the old song, "Nearer My God to Thee."

Those who survive him besides his mother are six brothers and sisters. They are Mrs. James Ingledue of Mason City; Wm. Lillibridge of Cody, Nebr.; Alonzo Lillibridge of Garner; Mrs. Milton Klinefelter of this city.

Funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon at one o'clock conducted by Fred Fisher, pastor of the Methodist church.
