Elizabeth Hannah Klunder, of Grundy Center, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center of natural causes. She attained the age of 86 years, 11 months and 20 days.

Funeral services were held on Friday, September 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the American Lutheran Church. Pastor Paul C. Nelson officiated. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery in Grundy Center. A memorial fund has been established.

Elizabeth was born Sept. 10, 1913, in Eldora the daughter of Luitjen and Margaret (Boomgarden) Luitjens. She married Daniel Klunder on Feb. 12, 1932, in Grundy Center. The couple made their home in Grundy Center their entire married life.

Liz was a member of the American Lutheran Church. She volunteered at the Hospital in a singing group.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel on Dec. 11, 1977, in Grundy Center; her parents; three sisters; and one brother.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center, was in charge of the arrangements.
