Carrie Langdon Dies At Grundy Hospital

Miss Carrie Langdon died Sunday afternoon at the Grundy hospital, where she had been a patient since last September. She was afflicted with arthritis several years. Death was due to advanced age and complications. She was 82 years old.

The body was taken to the Ferree funeral home, where arrangements were made. Services were held in the Ferree Chapel at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Donald Jafvert officiated at the service. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Resided in County All of Her Life
Miss Langdon resided in Grundy county all of her life. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Langdon. She was born on a Felix township farm Sept. 9, 1877. She moved to Grundy Center with her parents about sixty years ago and resided here ever since.

Miss Langdon had two sisters. Following the death of her parents, the three sisters lived together in Grundy Center. One of the sisters, Ila, died in 1954. Ada, the youngest of the three sisters, survives and resides in the family home. Miss Langdon was a seamstress during her active lifetime.

Surviving relatives besides the sister Ada are two nephews. They are Lester Langdon, Greenfield, Iowa, and Lyle Langdon, Hammond, Ind.
