Mrs. Franz resided there until 1946 when she moved to Grundy Center. Her husband and their only son, LeRoy, preceded her in death. The son died in 1948, the husband died in 1937.
Mrs. Franz was a charter member of the Grundy Legion Auxiliary, a member of the WRC, the Jolly Dozen and the Kings Daughters. She was a member of the Methodist church in Grundy Center.
