Jack McWhirter Died At Spencer; Buried at Grundy

Funeral services for Jack McWhirter, who died last Wednesday, were held at Spencer Friday, Oct. 16, at 10 a.m. His body was brought to Grundy Center immediately following the service at Spencer. A short prayer service was held at the cemetery here at 4:00 p.m. in charge of Rev. J. B. Bird. He was laid to rest in the family lot here.

Relatives from away who attended the service here were: Mrs. J. McWhirter, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Cuttell and family, and Mrs. Kate Weir of Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McWhirter and son of Allison; David McWhirter of Vivan, S. Dak., and David Weirkatel of Iowa City.
