Harm Bleeker Commits Suicide in Illinois

Harm Bleeker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hei Bleeker of Grundy Center, committed suicide last Friday on a farm near Camden, Ill., by shooting himself. No reason for the suicide was given.

Funeral Director Harold Engelkes drove to Camden and brought the body to his funeral home in Grundy Center. Funeral services were held at the funeral home Monday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. F. J. Langenberg. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Harm Bleeker was 29 years old on Nov. 20. He was born at Reinbeck but spent most of his life in and around Grundy Center. The past few years he lived in Illinois. He had been employed on a farm near Camden, Ill., the past few months.

Surviving are his parents; three sisters, Hilda, Marlene, and Mrs. Darrell Essen; one half-brother, Jake Arends from Cresco, and one half-sister, Mrs. John Ash Jr., Grundy Center.
