Funeral For Mrs. D. Frank Allen Wednesday, Oct. 26

Funeral services for Mrs. D. Frank Allen, 76, were held Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the First Methodist church in Iowa Falls. Burial took place in the Conrad cemetery, her girlhood home.

Mrs. Allen, an Iowa Falls resident for the past fifteen years, died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 23. She was born Jennie Folkers, a daughter of Edward and Sophia Folkers, in Lee County, Ill., on Dec. 14, 1872. When a child her family moved to the Conrad community, where she was married Sept. 30, 1906 to Frank Allen. Surviving are the widower, two step-daughters, Marietta McCoy of Hampton and Mrs. Leo Knott of Alden and six children, Mrs. Thomas Buckton, Waterloo, Mrs. Marvin Felland, Robert, Donald, Harold and Willard Allen, all of Iowa Falls, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Clarke, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Cross and Mrs. Freda Smith were among those from Conrad attending the services.
