Mrs. John Cullinan Dies In Omaha
Mrs. John Cullinan, who was a resident of Grundy county several years, died in a hospital in Omaha at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon, following a short illness.
The body was brought to the Coffman funeral home in Grundy Center and later to the home of Mrs. William Connell. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Father Leo Entringer, were held at Sacred Heart Catholic church this forenoon. Burial was by the side of the husband in the Catholic cemetery at Grundy Center.
Mrs. Cullinan was 73 years old on the 10th of last December. She was born at Delavan, Ill., Dec. 10, 1872, and she grew up in that locality. Her maiden name was Nora Morrisey. She was married to John Cullinan at Delavan in 1890. The couple began their life together on a farm in the vicinity of Delavan and all of their children were born there. They came to Grundy county in 1900 and lived on a farm near Grundy Center. 15 years later they moved to Grundy Center. They resided here until 1918 when the family moved to Dubuque. In 1924 they moved to Omaha and Mr. and Mrs. Cullinan spent the remaining of their lives there. Mr. Cullinan died six years ago.
Surviving are three daughters, one son and one grandson. The daughters are Louise Cullinan, of Omaha, Mrs. B. J. Duszynski, Omaha, Estelle Cullinan, Dubuque and James Cullinan, Omaha. Donald Duszynski is the only grandchild.
