Frank Kopsa Died Thur. Sick Several Months

Frank Kopsa died at his home northeast of Conrad last Thursday, Nov. 9, following an illness covering a period of several months.

Funeral services were held at the Catholic church in Grundy Center Saturday forenoon with the resident pastor, Rev. Father Leo Entringer, officiating. Burial was in the Grundy cemetery.

Mr. Kopsa was a native of Bohemia. He came to this country with his family in 1920 and made his home on a Grundy county farm ever since. He was born at Bodenstein, Bohemia, November 5, 1868. He was united in marriage to Amelia Pohl in Bohemia on January 10, 1889. There were eight children born to this union. All but one are living. One daughter, Mrs. Anna Kaliney, died at Marshalltown a year ago this month.

Surviving are the wife, four sons and three daughters. The sons are Frank of Grundy Center, Joe and Robert of Conrad, Karl of Beaman, Mrs. Wensell Helmick, Conrad, Mrs. Alex Scramosky, Grundy Center, and Mrs. Henry Kalons, Lohrville. All of the children were able to attend the funeral services.
