Mrs. Rose Lynch Dies Wednesday

Mrs. Rose Lynch passed away Wednesday afternoon at the St. Francis hospital in Waterloo, after an illness of almost a year. She was 71 years of age. Funeral arrangements had not been completed Wednesday evening.

Mrs. Lynch had been born in Melrose township. She was married in 1910 to George Lynch. Her husband preceded her in death in 1941.

She is survived by two sons, Michael and William; one sister, Mrs. Teresa Cox, and one brother in Canada.

Service Saturday Mrs. Geo. Lynch

Funeral services were held Saturday morning in Sacred Heart church in Grundy Center for Mrs. George Lynch, who died last Wednesday at St. Francis hospital in Waterloo. Rev. Fr. J. Kress, local Catholic church pastor, officiated at the service. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mrs. Lynch was 73 years old last January. She was born on a farm in Melrose township January 18, 1878. Her maiden name was Rose Pollard. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pollard. For several years before her marriage she was an assistant in the office of Drs. Thielen & McDowell, Grundy Center. In 1919 she was married to George Lynch in Grundy Center. For several years following their marriage they lived in Reinbeck. Her husband died in 1941. A son, Vincent, and a daughter, Margaret, also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Michael and William, both of Waterloo. Other survivors are one sister, Mrs. James Cox, Grundy Center, and one brother, Jack Pollard, Edmonton, Canada.
