Robt. Boss Funeral in Grundy Monday

Robert Boss, 82, died at Parkview Garden Care Center in Waterloo Thursday evening at 10:30 o'clock. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home at Grundy Center. Rev. Maurice Mullan of the Sacred Heart catholic church officiated.

Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased, David, Mike, James and John Boss, Leon Mast and Tim Krieger. Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery, Grundy Center. Mrs. Roger Mooty took care of the flowers.

He was born in Howell Co., Missouri, March 8, 1892, the son of Louis and Louise Stein Boss. He farmed most of his adult life time in Grundy and Tama counties.

He is survived by five sons, Henry, Camas, Wash.; Paul, New Hampton; Robert, Clearmont, Calif.; William, Commanche and Donald, Charles City; also five daughters, Mrs. Gail (Edna) Mast, Grundy Center; Mrs. Thomas Bevan, Boise, Idaho; Mrs. Eugene Krieger, Cedar Falls; Nellie and Eva Boss of Waterloo. Other survivors are one sister, Mrs. Hazel Stein, Kansas City, Mo., 26 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
