Word has been received of the death of Homer Whorrall, brother of Glenn F. Whorrall. He died soon after landing in France. His nurse, Blanche Anderson, was a former Beaman girl, and playmate of Homer. She notified the family at Rockwell of his death. He was born near Beaman in Grundy county, Iowa, August 15, 1890, and died September 28, 1918. He was a former employee of D. P. Sheller. Homer was a young man, liked by everyone who knew him. When they left Camp Gordon, he was made acting sergeant over the carloads of soldiers until they were placed on vessels.
