Hazel Irene Venenga, 90, of Bristow, died July 25 at the Cedar Falls Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 29 at 10 a.m. at the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the church.

Hazel was born March 21, 1914, the daughter of Earl Logan and Lula Anna (Wendt) Graham. She graduated from Bristow High School in 1934. On December 25, 1942, she was united in marriage to Marvin H. Venenga. She and Marvin farmed in the Lincoln Township area until their retirement in the early 1980s.

Hazel is survived by a daughter, Marsha L. (Darrel) Flater of Cedar Falls; a son, Claire Marvin "Bud" Venenga of Stout; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry (Berdean) Graham of Cedar Falls; a sister, Fern Catchpool of Cedar Falls; a sister-in-law, Beth Pecenka of Hudson.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Earl Graham; and a sister, Alma Wesemann.
