Janet Kay Nederhoff, 60, of Eldora, Iowa passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Eldora Specialty Care. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the celebration of life funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Sheller Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Care Initiatives Hospice.

Janet was born on July 15, 1956 to her parents Henry and Lorraine Nederhoff, and raised on the family farm just outside of Wellsburg. She received her education from the Wellsburg Community School and graduated from Grundy Center High School in the class of 1976. Following her graduation Janet began her career at the Western Home in Cedar Falls. There she worked for over 30 years until her retirement.

Janet was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Eldora. She loved traveling with her parents across the United States. Her other hobbies included arts & crafts, coloring and bird watching.

She is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Ron Nederhoff and James Nederhoff.
