Myron Craig, 82, of Reinbeck, Iowa, passed away on August 6th, 2016. A graveside service will be held at the Lincoln Township Cemetery on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016, at 10:30 am. Military Honors have been accorded for Myron. A public visitation will be held on Saturday, August 13th, 2016, at the American Legion Post #242 in Reinbeck, Iowa, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Reinbeck Fire Department and the Reinbeck American Legion Post #242. French Hand Funeral Home is caring for Myron and his family.

Myron Evan Craig was born to William and Golda (Walker) Craig on October 19th, 1933, in Garwin, Iowa. He was raised and educated in the area, graduating from the Garwin community school district. Following his formal education, Myron enlisted in the United States Airforce, retiring in the late 50's. On July 2nd, 1956, Myron and Nancy Reid were united in marriage in Bangor, Maine. The two would eventually relocate to Reinbeck to raise their family. On March 10th, 2015, Nancy passed away. Myron was an employee of John Deere until his retirement in June of 1985. He was a member and past commander of the Reinbeck American Legion Post 242, the Grundy County 40/8 Post #171 and St. John's Lutheran Church. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding snowmobiles, camping, traveling and spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Michael Craig of Mesa, Arizona, Susan (Gary) Esboldt of Willmar, Minnesota, Alan (Tami) Craig of Reinbeck, Iowa, Cheryl Ewoldt of Traer, Iowa, Julie Craig of Traer, Iowa, grandchildren; Stephen Craig, Kelli (Josh) Miller, Luke (Stacy) Esboldt, Joy Esboldt, Samuel (Sara) Esboldt, Nathan Esboldt, Reid Craig, Bryce Craig, Josh (Tasha) Ewoldt, Lance Ewoldt and 6 great-grandchildren., Sisters in-law; Betty Craig and Bernice Craig.

In death, Myron rejoins his parents; William and Golda (Walker) Craig, wife; Nancy (Reid) Craig, brothers; Robert Craig, Paul Craig, John Craig and son in-law; Barry Ewoldt.
