Daniel O. Nederhoff Passed Away at Camp Dodge After Illness and Operation
Two more Grundy county soldier lads have given their lives for their country, one dying in France shortly after he landed and the other passing away in the hospital at Camp Dodge where he had been ill almost since he went to camp in the Feb. 26th contingent. This makes three boys out of the Feb. 26th contingent who have died, the other boy being Fred Engelkes who died at New York.
Daniel O. Nederhoff
Daniel O. Nederhoff passed away in the Camp Dodge hospital last Friday, the cause of his death not exactly being known. Shortly after he went to Camp Dodge he submitted to a minor operation. He did not seem to recover, and other complications set in, resulting in his death. His mother is Mrs. O. Nederhoff of Wellsburg. The funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon from the Bode church west of Wellsburg.
