Rites Held For Edna Krull Fishel
Edna Krull Fishel, 67, of Clear Lake (formerly of Wellsburg) died Friday, February 13, at the North Iowa Mercy Health Center in Mason City of cancer.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 16, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in rural Wellsburg. Pastors Ron Fisher and Bernard Olsen officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rick Fishel, Randy Fishel, Doug Krull, Scott Krull, Wayne Wasta and Chuck Rogalla.
Edna was born in Grundy County on March 27, 1930, the daughter of Johannes and Etjedena (Vanderwerf) Miller. On March 27, 1948, she was united in marriage to Aeilt (Dagun) Krull in Wellsburg. He preceded her in death. On August 15, 1993, she was united in marriage to John Fishel in Clear Lake. She was a long time employee of Dodger Industries in Eldora and a member of the St. Peter's United Church of Christ.
Edna is survived by her husband John of Clear Lake; 1 daughter, Vickie Newby and her husband Richard of Eldora; 1 son, Rick Krull and wife Teresa of Ackley; 2 step-sons, Randy Fishel of Carlsbad, California and Rick Fishel and his wife Sherri of Mason City; 1 step-daughter, Wanda Folkerts and her husband Larry of Crystal Lake; 1 step-brother, John Krull of Wellsburg; 1 special cousin, Frederick Vanderwerf and wife Marlys of Wellsburg; 3 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Dagun Krull; and 1 step-sister, Joan Schipper.
Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg was in charge of the arrangements.
