Funeral Services Held Tuesday P.M. For George Bleeker

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Brandt Funeral Home in Ackley for George Bleeker of Cleves, who died suddenly on Friday. The Rev. C. F. Siemsen, pastor of the East Friesland Presbyterian Church was the officiating pastor. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Bleeker, who had been in poor health for some time, became ill while down town in Ackley. He was taken by ambulance to Iowa Falls and was pronounced dead on his arrival at Ellsworth hospital.

Mr. Bleeker, son of George and Minnie Koolman Bleeker, was born November 23, 1894, in Grundy County. He spent his entire life in the community where he was born, retiring to Cleves in later years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Roelfs, Ackley; Mrs. Carrie Dunne, Independence; Mrs. J. Thomas Hunt (Bernice), Fountain, Minn.; and three brothers, Louis and John G., of Ackley, and Benjamin, St. Cloud, Minn. Also five nieces and four nephews survive.
