Keith L. Bender, 29, of Wellsburg, Iowa died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at his home in Wellsburg. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the First Christian Reformed Church in Wellsburg, with Pastor Tom Vos officiating.

Keith Lee Bender, son of Larry and Susan Spear Bender was born January 24, 1986 in Hampton, Iowa. He received his education and graduated from Hampton Dumont High School in 2004. On December 16, 2006, Keith married Marissa Lynn Simons in Hampton. Before moving to Wellsburg, the couple lived in Emmettsburg and Graettinger. He worked at Delta McKenzie Archery in Dike and most recently began working at Pine Lake Corn Processors in Steamboat Rock. Keith enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially loved spending time with his daughters and family. He was a member of the Pine Lake Archery Club.

Survivors include his wife, Marissa Bender of Wellsburg; daughters, Keeley, Gabriella and Lexi; parents, Larry and Susan Bender also of Hampton, IA; sister, Dawn (Jaime) Guerrero of Marion, IA; grandfather, Bob Bender of Denver, CO; aunt, Sharon Spear of Humboldt, IA; mother-in-law, Monica Phillips of Wellsburg; father-in-law, Jeff Simons also of Wellsburg; brother-in-law, Brandon Simons of Hubbard, IA; and his grandmother-in-law, Marylene Phillips of Wellsburg.

Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry and Maryln Spear, and LaMonna Ehardt; and his grandfather-in-law, Lonnie Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bender family.
