Services Held For Mrs. Cora Lyons
Funeral services were to be held yesterday, Wednesday, Jan. 19, for Mrs. Cora Lyons, 84, Schleswig, Iowa. Services were scheduled to be held in Schleswig, then the body was brought to Dike where prayer services were held at the Dike Funeral Chapel. Burial was in the Dike Elmwood cemetery where her husband, Percy, is buried.
She was born Cora Tobias, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Tobias, on Oct. 3, 1881 in Klingertown, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Lyons lived in Dike about 45 years ago when Mr. Lyons published the newspaper, the Dike New Era.
Mrs. Lyons is survived by a son, Robert, of Schleswig; a daughter, Mrs. Dale Neely of Castle Rock, Wash.; two brothers, E. P. Tobias of Dike and John Tobias of Schleswig; three sisters, Mrs. Hans (Emma) Kelsen of Dike, Mrs. Tillie Schultz of Kelso, Wash. and Mrs. John (Minnie) Schultz of Calgary, Canada and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
