Bessie Dirks Dies From Heart Attack

Miss Bessie Dirks died Friday while visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thoren. Death came suddenly following a heart attack. She was 73 years old.

The body was taken to the Engelkes funeral home in Grundy Center. Services were held in the funeral home on Monday afternoon. The service was conducted by Rev. Van Winkle, pastor of the Christian Reformed church. Burial was in the Holland cemetery.

Miss Dirks was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dirks. She was born in Holland, August 1st, 1892, and always made her home here. Since the death of her parents she had lived alone.

Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Henry Dirks, Grundy Center, and Mrs. William Dirks, Holland. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
