Reinbeck Man Dies In Waterloo Hospital

John F. Peterson of Reinbeck died about 8 o'clock Wednesday evening at the Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo following a second operation performed in six weeks.

He was operated upon six weeks ago for a ruptured stomach ulcer. Later when his condition did not improve another operation was decided upon and an abscess found in the liver, a very rare ailment. His condition had been very serious since this second operation.

Mr. Peterson was born Feb. 28, 1877, near Walcott, Iowa. He came to Reinbeck with his family as a boy of eight years and they settled on the farm seven miles east and south of Reinbeck which was his home the rest of his life.

He was married January 20, 1909, to Miss Bertha Sell, and to them eight children were born, all of them living and all of them now at home. These are Lizzie, Leona, Luville, Clarence, Lavera, Lurene, Lorna and Gladys. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Bertha Samo, of Reinbeck.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Gange funeral home, conducted by Rev. Hufstader. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery.
