6-Year-Old Girl Dies From Brutal Injuries

The six-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rieke Seehuisen of Beaver township died last Friday following an illness of about six months. She was brutally injured by larger girls at school last fall which resulted in internal troubles which began to manifest themselves soon thereafter. She was taken to the hospital at Marshalltown early in the year and an operation for the removal of a kidney, which was torn loose during her rough treatment, was performed. The operation brought no permanent relief and the little one continued to decline from day to day until the end came. The sympathy of the entire community is with the family in their bereavement.

Funeral services were held at the Siemsen church Monday afternoon. The services were conducted by the local pastor, Rev. D. Siemsen. The church was filled with sympathetic friends and relatives during the service.
