Mrs. William Edwin Arnold, Old Beaman Resident, Dead

Margaret Maynard, daughter of Curtis J. and Caroline Maynard, was born in Athens county, Ohio, Feb. 5, 1853, and died in Beaman, Iowa, February 24, 1933, at the age of 80 years and 19 days.

About sixty-one years ago she married William Edwin Arnold. To this union one daughter, Stella, was born, but she passed away July 14, 1892.

They lived on a farm northwest of Beaman for a few years and then about fifty years ago they came to live at Beaman. On January 4, 1914, Mr. Arnold was taken by death.

Surviving the deceased are one sister, Mrs. Mattie Rogers of Pipestone, Minn., and two brothers, Elisha Maynard of Conrad, Iowa, and Chas. Maynard of Bemidji, Minn.

The sympathy of the community is extended to those bereaved by the passing of Mrs. Arnold.

Funeral services were held at the Beaman Methodist church Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial was at Oakland cemetery beside her husband and daughter. Rev. H. W. Artman officiated.
